Disney Vacation Love is a travel blog for moms planning Walt Disney World vacations. My passion is helping you experience the Disney magic while creating memories with your family. I provide tips to simplify your planning process, actionable ideas and inspiration, and clear content covering every aspect of your trip. My goal is to help you avoid the overwhelm and plan a dream vacation that meets your family’s needs. And hopefully exceeds your expectations!
Are you overwhelmed at the time and energy that goes into planning a Disney World family vacation? Do you worry whether the expense and effort will be worthwhile? Are you unsure where to begin? You’re not alone. Most visitors to Disney World don’t plan ahead and end up missing out on experiences they would have enjoyed, or wasting time standing in long lines that they could have avoided with a little planning.
While I don’t have all the answers, I hope I can help ease your concerns and increase the chances that you and your family will have a wonderful vacation. I believe anyone, Disney fan or not, can enjoy a trip to Walt Disney World if they take the time to think through what’s important to them, prioritize what they’d like to see and experience and remain flexible and open to letting a little magic into their lives.
Thank you for visiting my little corner of the internet and letting me join you in your planning.
Who is behind Disney Vacation Love?
My name is Sarah and I’m a 30-something woman who rediscovered a love for Disney as an adult. I first visited Disney World as a teen and had fond memories of the parks, but didn’t return again for almost 15 years. My husband and I fell in love with Walt Disney World during a trip with our extended family trip and purchased Disney Vacation Club points. We’ve since been back every year, adding two children to our family along the way.
Our Disney trips have encompassed multi-generational family vacations, short couple’s getaways, family vacations, and vacations with friends. We’ve toured the parks with infants, toddlers, grade school aged children and tweens. Sometimes we go from rope drop to park close, squeezing in as much as we can, and other trips we meander and adapt our plans to the needs of young children. Each trip is precious and wonderful, but they’re all very different.
There are a bunch of Disney planning sites out there, but when I was preparing for our first trip as a young family, I found much of the advice didn’t really answer my questions. Many of the biggest online resources lack the perspective of a mom, which is ironic considering how much of the vacation planning we do! My hope is that this site can become a resource by moms, for moms.
When I’m not working, I can be found with my husband and children hanging out with friends, exploring our local community, or on adventures big and small. We live far enough from Disney that it isn’t an easy trip with toddlers, but I’m always planning our next trip in my mind.
